我們經常討論的數學概念 (數概) 和推理邏輯對幼小的孩子而言，是比較虛無抽象和難以理解。透過合適的訓練和解說，令他們對這些"抽象"的思維清晰理解, 更容易掌握日後遇到複雜的數學問題。

這套工作紙的主題是 - 空間座標，小朋友初時會比較難去理解，因為這些空間座標是二維空間（Second Dimension）的開始。小朋友要在腦海裡想像一個平面空間去解讀題目中的圖表。

當然，我們會以相對簡單的方式去教小朋友。如工作紙中的題目，我會把圖表以我們住的大廈和單位去解釋，如＂１樓Ａ室＂＂２樓Ｂ室＂等等。這種說法讓他們容易去代入日常的生活經驗中，舉一反三。
